DARE Pictures is a globally focused production company based in Manchester and London. We specialise in stories that travel, formats that scale, and IP with enough heat to cut through a crowded market.
Since launching in 2022, our work has delivered for TV, digital and streaming platforms. UK Prisons: Sex, Drugs and Corruption debuted as the second most-streamed title of the week for Channel 4 and was nominated at the British Journalism Awards. Every Woman for MTV surpassed 30 million digital and social views. Geordie Stories: Sophie’s Fertility Journey for Paramount+ took that deeply personal story into the mainstream. Our projects and collaborations have also premiered at Hot Docs, Sheffield DocFest and Berlinale, reflecting a range that spans from the commercial to the reputational.
Our programmes have also been recognised across the industry: multiple Broadcast Award nominations, British Journalism Awards, True Crime Awards, Campaign Media Week Awards (twice) and the Indielab Innovation Award. In February 2025, we were named Emerging Indie of the Year at the Broadcast Awards.
We’re trusted by brands including SAP, Ancestry and Google Pixel, organisations that come to us for contemporary storytelling that resonates culturally and authentically while driving social and commercial impact.
Our values — Diversity, Allyship, Representation and Empowerment — are not just principles; they are a strategic advantage. They enable us to build teams and stories drawn from a genuinely broad spectrum of talent: from creators like David Navarro, to reality TV and social media voices like Sophie Kasaei, through to established national treasures such as Stephen Fry.
That openness gives us fresh perspectives, cultural credibility and access to audiences across a wide spectrum of demographics and platforms. Whether it’s digital destinations, traditional TV or streaming services, we connect with culture where it happens and harness it to create content that feels timely, relevant and impossible to ignore.
Backed by Pantheon Media Group (formerly Asylum Entertainment Group), DARE Pictures is building a slate with global ambition and domestic impact.
If you want distinctive programmes that cut through, deliver and perform, then that’s what we do here at DARE.
