Riva Japaul is a Producer at DARE. Derren initially hired Riva to work on DARE’s debut project: a premium three-part documentary series Queen of Crypto (w/t) for Channel 4 and Sky Germany. From there, she joined on many other projects that DARE have in the works and is currently producing a presenter-led documentary for Channel 4’s digital stream.

Riva is adept at sensitively handling difficult subjects: she often works on projects with extremely vulnerable contributors. Riva prides herself on forming relationships with contributors and talent alike. She was recognised in 2022 by Broadcast Magazine as being one of their Hot Shots. Having been supported by Derren, Riva is keen to continue the message of DARE by collaborating with likeminded on and off screen talent.
